Meet This Month’s Legendairy Little, Lincoln

Each month we donate a portion of our sales to a child with medical needs through the Legendairy Littles program.
At just two days old, Lincoln had a life saving surgery to repair his tracheoesophageal fistula/esophageal atresia (TEF/EA). As a result of the surgery and TEF, Lincoln has a “honky” coo which has become one of his most distinguishing characteristics. Eight weeks later he would have a g-tube placed so he could graduate from the NICU and go home.

Lincoln is one of around 100 people who have a rare genetic disorder called Mandibulofacial Dysostosis with Microcephaly (MFDM). MFDM is characterized by developmental delay and abnormalities of the head and face. An additional condition Lincoln has is called Hemihyperplasia where the right side of his body grows faster than the left. This condition increases the risk for certain tumors so Lincoln receives cancer screening ultrasounds and bloodwork every three months.

In February, Lincoln was able to travel to Boston to receive specialized care where his parents were able to learn much more about managing Lincoln’s medical conditions. Lincoln enjoys going on walks and has the most contagious smile and beautiful blue eyes. The donation from the Legendairy Littles program will be used for ongoing medical expenses.
