Meet this month's Legendairy Little, Kimber

legendairylittles

Each month we donate a portion of our sales to a child with medical needs through the Legendairy Littles program.

In the first four months of life, Kimber’s mom noticed that her head was growing much faster than the rest of her body. In fact, her head grew from the 7th percentile to the 32nd percentile in only one month, but doctors did not seem troubled when the concern was raised. By her four-month well check, Kimber’s head had grown to the 99th percentile. It was at that point that Kimber was sent to the Emergency Room where doctors discovered she had severe congenital hydrocephalus. Kimber had to undergo surgery to place a permanent shunt to help drain the excess cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in her brain. While being treated, doctors also uncovered a brain tumor called a Tectal Glioma that now requires Kimber to have an MRI every four months for the rest of her life.

Now at 11 months old Kimber is growing perfectly and is learning to sit and crawl. Kimber’s mother would also like to remind and empower parents to always advocate for the total health and well-being of their children.

During the month of July, a portion of all sales will be donated to Kimber’s family to help with her ongoing medical needs.
