FTM here. I experienced my first clogged milk duct around one month pp and man they weren’t joking when they said they hurt! My cousin recommended Sunflower Lecithin and said she used it both ways - for daily maintenance and to treat when experiencing one. I got on and ordered right away. When my goodies arrived my clogged duct had already passed so I used for daily maintenance and no clogged ducts here! I’m currently almost 11 weeks pp now and have no intentions of stopping use of this product as long as I’m nursing and/or pumping.

Okay, legitimately this stuff works. I have implants and got mastitis. And honestly my milk was so hard to express anyway from the pressure of the implants and the fat content in my milk—but within a few days of taking the sunflower lecithin, my milk flow improved and the painful lumps diminished. I notice nodules/pain start to return if I miss a day of this. I highly recommend this stuff. It’s helping prevent further infections for me and I couldn’t be more impressed with this product.

A lactation consultant recommended this right when I had a clogged duct for the first time and saved me from any further issues. Ducts flowing well again in a day or two, and I’ve been using it ever since! No side effects that I can tell.
