Meet June's Legendairy Little, Genesis

Each month we donate a portion of our proceeds to a child with medical needs through the Legendairy Littles program. During the month of June 2025, we will be featuring Genesis.

Genesis Rosie was born on November 20, 2024. During birth, she aspirated on meconium andcontracted eColi. The eColi entered into her bloodstream and resulted in her going into septic shock.After Genesis received ECMO, she was able to start oxygenating. It was a very long and unexpected startto her life, but after 34 hard days in the NICU, Genesis was able to be discharged and go home!

As too many parents know, being discharged from the NICU does not mean that your journey iscompleted, it is just onto another chapter. Genesis continues to struggle with low oxygen levels. Shealso has abnormal EEG and MRI scans. Because of these abnormal tests, she is being evaluated forcerebral palsy. Genesis also receives treatments for a cardiac condition called rhabdomyoma which is abenign tumor that develops in the heart and needs to be monitored. Since being discharged from theNICU, Genesis has attended weekly occupational and physical therapy appointments.

Genesis has not let her shocking entrance to the world slow her down. She is a spirited and happy littlegirl who loves to read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and sing songs with her Mom and Dad. The songsthat make Genesis most excited are Down by the Bay and Apples and Bananas.
