What it is:

The Legendairy Milk Flange Sizing Starter Kit is a pumping accessory kit designed to help you find your flange size. Each kit includes a silicone nipple ruler and 10 flange inserts in 5 sizes from 13-21mm. A separate kit is available that includes a 2oz organic pumping spray to help moisturize skin, reduce friction, and minimize pumping discomfort.

How & when to use

When to use

Ideal for people who are trying to find the right flange size for more comfortable pumping. It is designed to help take some of the guesswork out of picking a flange size and support optimal milk removal and overall comfort during and after pumping.*

Legendairy Milk Flange Inserts are designed to fit right inside your Silicone Collection Cups and most 24mm traditional plastic breast flanges.

Flange Inserts: 

  • Sterilize before first use by submerging the inserts in a deep and wide pot of boiling water for 3-5 minutes. The inserts should be fully submerged in water and not touch the bottom or sides of the pot. Do not sterilize and avoid using high heat after initial sterilization. 
  • Hand wash in warm soapy water then rinse clean after subsequent uses. Using cold sterilization or UV sterilization is also permissible. 
  • Do not wash inserts in the dishwasher. 
  • Replace every 3 weeks, depending on frequency of use. 

Organic Pumping Spray: Gently shake the bottle and spray each flange once, 1-2 inches away to create a mist. Wipe off the nozzle or run under warm water between uses for optimal spray/mist performance.

Why Ingredients Matter

The pumping spray in the kit is made with organic oils and seed butter. The flange inserts are made from phthalate-free, BPA-free, food-grade silicone.

The kit includes a silicone nipple ruler with two easy ways to measure for a more confident fit. You'll also find two QR codes on the box, one links to our in-depth flange sizing guide with additional tips, and the other takes you to a step-by-step video demonstration so you can measure with confidence.

Can I test the fit while pumping, or is it only for measuring?

Yes! Once you've measured, you can insert the silicone flange inserts into your compatible 24mm flange and pump to find the size that feels most comfortable and effective.

Can I boil, steam sterilize, or dishwasher-clean this kit safely?

The flange inserts should be submerged in boiling water for 3 minutes to sterilize them before your first use. Then after each subsequent use, we recommend that you rinse them with cold water, and then hand-wash them in warm, soapy water. They should then be rinsed well and allowed to air-dry on a dedicated rack or clean cloth. Using sterilizers or harsh detergents can warp the delicate silicone pieces and should be avoided. UV sterilization or cold sterilization is acceptable though.
