Each month we donate a portion of our profits to a child with medical needs through the Legendairy Littles program. This month we will be focusing on a beautiful six-month old named Scotland who has recently celebrated graduating from the NICU. Scotland was born a few weeks early and doctors determined she needed a littleassistance learning to breathe. However, the family quickly found out that there was more going on than just breathing troubles. While in the NICU, Scotland struggled with a low respiratory rate, low heart rate, low tone and feeding troubles all while being dependent on supplementary oxygen. Now that Scotland is at home, she still requires oxygen support and is fully fed via NG tube.
Although the root of her condition is still undiagnosed, she has been diagnosed with epilepsy and nystagmus (she cannot control her eye movements). Being undiagnosed comes with its own set of worries for Scotland’s family. They are unsure what other medical conditions she may have to face. The Legendairy Littles donation will help with the multiple doctor visits that the family travels to on a monthly basis.
