Dr. Shewan Aziz, RPh, PhD is an accomplished health system pharmacy executive with extensive experience leading pharmacy operations across large, complex healthcare organizations across multiple states in the United States such as, Michigan, Louisiana, Maine and Texas. With a career spanning multiple decades, Dr. Aziz has built a strong reputation for driving operational excellence, advancing clinical pharmacy services, and implementing innovative strategies that improve patient outcomes, medication safety, and financial performance. He leverages data-driven decision-making and evidence-based practices to enhance safety and quality outcomes.

Throughout his career, Dr. Aziz has held progressive leadership roles within major academic medical centers and health systems, overseeing comprehensive pharmacy services including inpatient, ambulatory, specialty, and retail operations. He has managed large teams and multimillion-dollar budgets while leading initiatives in clinical program expansion, supply chain optimization, automation and informatics adoption, and system integration during organizational growth and transformation.

Most recently, Dr. Aziz served as Vice President of Pharmacy Services for Ascension Texas (Seton) Healthcare located in Austin Texas, where he provided strategic and operational leadership for pharmacy services across a multi-hospital, integrated delivery network. In this role, he oversaw enterprise-wide pharmacy operations, standardized clinical and operational practices, strengthened medication safety and regulatory compliance programs, and led large multidisciplinary teams responsible for delivering high-quality, cost-effective pharmaceutical care across diverse care settings.
