Best Flanges Yet
So I’ve been through quite a lot of different pumps, flanges and even cups. I’ve always preferred silicone flanges. I switch between the LM cups and Imani as well as my Evenflo flanges (they were my favorite paired with my Spectra) so of course I wanted to see if these lived up to their LM quality.
After my first use I did notice more than usual output. I do like the flange and duckbill valve as one whole piece while I pump, not so much to wash afterwards. They do feel more comfortable than my Evenflo and cups which your nips will thank you for. The flange protectors come in handy especially since I have pets and silicone attracts hair like magnets so one less thing to worry about. I can see the small bottles becoming an issue for those who over produce, unfortunately I don’t so they fit a perfect about of milk for me. The numbers on the sides of the bottles are clear so it’s a little hard to see especially during those nightly pumps. And finally I will say they do mimic a baby’s suckling more so than any other system I’ve used which I think contributes to more milk let downs and generally more output.
All in all they’re really good at what they’re meant for. Even tho it can be a bit of a pain to wash and I do worry about the longevity of the flanges due to the duckbill being attached as one whole system (a bit pricier to maintain) which was my main worry in the first place, I still believe the general comfort and end result will ultimately overshadow any doubts and that LM…
